Gods We Create Kingdoms We Follow

Gods We Create Kingdoms We Follow
21 March 2011

There are big gods we created in antiquity from myth and made them magical by building shrines, temples, marble statues, social activities, paintings and literature to ritually incarnate them.

Thus were spawned the polytheisms and monotheisms of our classical period of history along with the various assorted gods of the classical religions. Neanderthals probably started it with worship of the Bear god and this continued to contemporary times with the Innu of Japan. Gods were and still are presumed have supernatural powers, kind of like modern day transformer heroes. Here are a couple that have attributes of birds, bulls and lions and humans.

In Africa, charms, fetishes and idols of demons and spirits are made to this day in Animist cultures depicting this transformational practice in its infancy.

I saw one from Africa which showed a Baboon head on a human body with a bowl offering food. The Louvre has a vase from the Greek period showing a bull headed god on a human body. The Egyptians also had human forms with animal heads for gods. Isis, the falcon headed god case in point. Interestingly, they also had gods with human bodies and monkey heads. Monkeys are also revered as gods in India, suggesting many peoples were aware of a kinship between humans and these creatures.

There are people who we treat like gods and blindly follow. It seems like such a good thing to do.

Charlemaine (742-814) for example who chopped heads off all over Europe to convert it from the Nordic Pantheon to Christianity for the God who is all loving, all kind and all caring and was crowned Holy Roman Emporer for that service to the lord by the Pope. Here is the sword of this brutal murderer. The deal of course was that the days of the week would forever be named after the Nordic Gods. Tyrstag, Wodenstag, Thorstag, Freyastag, Saturnstag, Sontag, Moontag.

Thus were spawned Holy Empires and the Imperial legacy, Monarchies, Theocracies and Dictatorships. Half the wars of history were fought in the name of one God or another staining the sacred robes of these Dieties with oceans of blood and gore.

Napoleon was another very clear example of the practice. How we made him into a god is seen clearly by the following images.

Step 1 Goddification. Napoleon the soldier on his horse.

Step 2 Goddification. Build phallic monuments to their real or imagined exploits or powers. Pump up the AWE factor.

Got to live like a King if your going to be Goddified or be the humble beggar. Aura and style to fit the role. Nappy's lounge.

Step 3 Goddification Finale. Build a temple for them and surround them with images of holiness, winged virgins always being good. Hollywood movies help the myth to transcend.

Truth is he was probably a HERV-W afflicted delusional inferiority complex driven megalomaniac. But now he is a God in France. Just guessing. He may have been a fine man and if he was, sorry Nappy. One psychologist considered him a psychopath (http://historicmysteries.com/psychological-observations-of-napoleon-bonaparte).

There was Hannibal and Caesar who spread death and destruction all over the known world who we blindly followed.

We followed just two such people in the last century, and it cost us over 50,000,000 lives. In the previous century, millions of Chinese soldiers armed with bows and spears followed their leader into battle against the machine gun toting Foreigners in the Opium wars and died for the simple mistake of following. So it has always been so it it will always be for we are controlled by what I like to call the Silverback gene SLVRBK, an awe and worship of big and strong imagery. We feel intuitively that it imparts benevolence if we befriend such wonder. The Kingdom of Man can exact a heavy price for its loyalty and fielty.

There is the god Money, a guarantor of heaven on earth. We follow it blindly for it drips with goodness, imbues power, and pass the cost on to our progeny. The cost is unfortunately, Planet Earth, the only heaven we could have ever had, itself.

Temple Goddification of Money. If you do not believe and follow you will not be able to afford to shop in this temple devoted to money. Capitalism has discovered our weakness, the need to believe in an all powerful benevolent goodness and to follow. Thus enamored we are drawn into its promises and glitter like moths to a street lamp and captured as its slaves to the tune of a million dollars worldwide debt increase per minute.

Thus was spawned the Kingdom of Capitalism now a beast so large and complex it is out of control growing ever larger like a throbbing giant worm consuming planet earth.

But still we follow, follow, follow. Tis we naked apes who made the gods and the kingdoms they spawned hoping through allegiance, obedience and loyalty for their friendship and eternal patronage. Check out how many: http://www.godchecker.com/pantheon/greek-mythology.php?_gods-list
