All through history, Plutocrats have thought of themselves as special favoured by the Gods with power and riches. Stone and Gelded statues of antiquity attest to the origins of the delusion.
I snapped this pic in the Louvre in Paris.
The delusion is alive and well in the 20th Century, and manifests itself with monarchies and theocratic dictatorships and societies of rich snobs who use governments as puppets for their own amusement.
