The Evidence for Evolution
Background for my General Theory of Universal Evolution

Since Darwin’s epochal work, the research into evolution has increased enormously and it is now so huge that one really needs to organize it somehow. I try to do that here and to bring some order to the diversity of studies. We ignore this work and its meaning at our very real and great peril. Of profound significance for humanity and philosophy and religion and war and peace are the findings that our mitochondria contain 50S and 30S circular genes like bacteria, and our DNA contains over 99% similarity to chimpanzee DNA and also that we share similar genetic sections with the first life forms on earth, the Archaea. This means that all living things are our relatives and that we are not apart from nature but intimately completely dependent upon it. These findings prove unequivocably that evolution happens and makes Darwin the hero of this millenium. Evolution is more than a theory. It is truth itself for it is the way and the how and the why and explains the what.

Structure and Evolution of the Universe
http://universe.gsfc.nasa.gov/

I have found that evolution does not only exist here on earth, but in the Cosmic universe through all of space and time. Energy changes form and layers, subatomic particles form changing associations and new particles as the universe expands and cools, yet in places new suns are being born. Atoms change from one to another through transmutation. Even the speed of light has been found to change near absolute zero in certain conditions. This physical cosmic evolution yielded our galaxy and our sun and our earth and organic biological chemical evolution on earth yielded life and that life yielded us human beings and we in turn created philosophy and god and space ships and science and the arts and humanities and war and pollution and have discovered the genetic code which links all life on earth together. Yet our very bodies contain atoms from supernovas of ten billion years ago and our mutation and evolution is driven by cosmic rays from suns long extinct. The energy bundled in our atoms and their quarks is immortal and has only changed its form or package and location over all of time. In a very real sense we are part of the fabric of the universe, creatures of infinite age, and yet we are here for but a short time in this form, which is also changing. Evolution is the creator, the magician, the greatest phenomenon that ever was and will always be, and we are but a tick in its trough of ever changing goodies.

The Editor 14 June 2003 Asmusa.org I have been forming the view from looking at zoonotic cancer causing viruses and retroviruses that viruses are agents of lateral gene transfer and I believe that we do not yet know if they are an evolutionary descendent of the ability that Archaea and bacteria have to carry out this activity thereby resulting in mosaic genes. If this view is upheld, it suggests that we Eukaryotes are also active mosaics and more importantly, linear descent is brought into question for higher organisms as well since this finding could lead to dramatic saltatory events with quantum leaps in evolution. It is beginning to make sense that this is the case. This view if confirmed would also explain the origin of viruses (and the sudden appearance of new varieties in the fossil record). Jorma Jyrkkanen, BSc, PDP

If energy can neither be created nor destroyed then it is immortal and therefore the universe was created from pre-singularity pre-existing energy simply undergoing change of form. Because of my theory of universal evolution, and this principle of thermodynamics, assuming it is true, then the universe must repeatedly be destroyed and recreated but only in form, not total energy. Do you see why this must be so? A question for the Mensa crowd. Is cyberspace a dimension or a universe and because we created it are we therefore Gods?

Energy underwent transmutation into atoms and molecular evolution to produce our Planet Earth and probably many others like it. The atoms on this planet then evolved forming molecules and created nucleotides which organized into the genes which then went on to create self replicating mutating evolving life and these diverged by mutation and natural selection into the biodiversity we have today. Science has borne all of this out. For this reason, I say that evolution is a physical, chemical, biochemical inorganic and organic universal process of change and natural selection and it is the creator, a complex process of endless change and ongoing creation of new forms.

Gravity and cosmic radiation and the forces of atoms, the electro-weak and strong of quarks and perhaps superstrings binds all of this together and we are all connected to the whole universe by the same forces. We share genes in common with all living things on Earth and they are our kin. If one wants to refute this scenario, one must write a peer reviewed scientific article to all of the science journals of the world showing refuting data and references and demonstrate why this view is wrong and classical magical creation views are right.

It is because of the overwhelming evidence of science which cannot possibly be refuted that I am led overwhelmingly to the inexorable conclusion that physical and organic evolution is the creator and and if we agree that the creator is god, therefore evolution is god and all other gods therefore must not exist except in our collective minds.

Having said that, a parrot has created sentences, a chimp has created tools, and we Hominoid primates have created cyberspace. If creative ability is the prime requisite to be a god, then all creative creatures are also gods wherever they be in the universe.

The primary underlying substance of creation is energy. The kind that permeates the universe. This energy can neither be created nor destroyed, only altered in form, from potential to kinetic, from localized into particles and atoms, or radiant such as in electrons, plasma and the cosmic radiation, and more familiar nuclear alpha, beta and gamma radiation, as seen in the elctromagnetic spectrum, and so has never needed a creator. It has always existed if the laws of physics apply in pre-singularity universes as they must though perhaps differently than we know them. Energy therefore undergoes evolution and transitions back and forth into particles as we have seen since the singularity.

Is this where the notion of god has evolved to? It seems so if we look at the facts. From gods created in the human mind to fill our need for mentorship, explanation and solace, there were many; RA the sun god past the polytheistic Bull God era and the multitudinous Celtic and Greek managerie of Gods, the Nordic Pantheon of viking Gods, Montag, Tyrstag, Wodenstag, Thorstag, Freyastag, Saturnstag, Sontag for which the days of the week are named, to the Christian monotheistic God to this evolution god, a process oriented god to a parrot that conceptualizes and speaks over 900 words, a tool using chimp and us, the naked creator/destroyer ape god with 'Bird of Paradise-like' behaviour.
