In fact what was suggested by the data is that vitamin A and E could interfere with the body's natural defenses and further, beta-carotene, A and E seemed to increase mortality. Another pop culture fad which caused pantry's around the world to fill with vitamin bottles all in the name of procuring longevity has been blown away years after the fad became popular. The work was done by Dr. Goran Bjelakovic in Copenhagen. This demonstrates once and for all how important it is for the intelligent consumer to be very very sceptical of claims by new products.
